About Me
My name is Amber McAdams and I am a junior at the University of Missouri-Columbia (Go Tigers!) currently studying elementary education. Unlike many of my fellow classmates I did not know teaching was my calling until I took a job with the program Jumpstart. I fell in love with teaching and knew I truly belonged in the classroom. I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and I cannot wait to go back and begin my life there as a teacher. When I am not in school I am working with children in various other ways such as Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center, The Moving Ahead Program, Big Brothers/Sisters, and Columbia Public Schools. In my free time I love to read and spend time with my friends and family. I hope to travel around the world and I am very excited to begin my travels this spring in Arusha, Tanzania where I will spend time teaching students.
